More evidence that the “border crisis” is a manufactured Obama border crisis, was released in a late Friday afternoon news dump (the typical time the administration dumps data they don’t want anyone to see), amidst heavy news coverage of U.S. nuke talks with Iran, Hamas’ continued war with Israel, and the downed Malaysian aircraft in Ukraine.

We continue to keep being fed the narrative of the “unaccompanied minors,” but the truth is family units, which include adults – mothers and fathers – are crossing the border at five times the rate they were in 2013, while these “unaccompanied minors” are crossing in at only two times the rate. Yet the media and Democratic politicians continue to focus on the crisis at the border as being “all about the children.”

While there is no denying the number of children crossing the border without their parents has grown, they are not making up the huge wave of people flowing in, as the media would want you to believe.

According to The Daily Caller, a report released by the U.S. border patrol late Friday afternoon shows that the White House has painted a “false picture” of the migration of Central American’s at the southern border by hiding a huge spike in “family units” who are crossing in through Texas.

According to the U.S. border patrol, the inflow of children traveling without parents has doubled since 2013, to 57,525 in the nine months up to July 2014. But, the number of immigrants who cross the border in “family units” has spoked five-fold to 55,420.

We actually wrote about this last week, before this late Friday data dump.

In the Rio Grande area, where most of the migrants are arriving, the number of “unaccompanied children” was actually outnumbered by adults, parents and children in “family units,” according the U.S. border patrol data.

According to The Daily Caller:

The much-faster growth in “family units” has been hidden by White House and agency officials, who have tried to portray the influx as a wave of children fleeing abuse and violence.

So, for weeks we have been hearing about a wave of so-called “unaccompanied children” from the White House, while they have downplayed (hidden) the “family units,” hoping to focus the media’s attention on a “supposed problem” with a 2008 law dealing with the human trafficking of children.

This law prevents the U.S. government from sending Central American children back home, once they have been declared “unaccompanied alien children.” Instead, we settle the children in the United States, until a judge decides if they can stay in the country.

This has allowed top officials to justify the response to welcoming the children as “in their best interests.” This message has been propagated by Democratic politicians, reporters, main stream media outlets, and bloggers, to help silence the public’s growing anger at the administration’s failure to secure the border.

This report released on Friday just uncovered yet another “lie” we have been fed by the administration to bolster their immigration agenda.

According to John Hayward of Breitbart, in an editorial over the weekend:

Remember this whole story began with leaked photos of the overcrowded Unaccompanied Alien Child detention centers, which we weren’t supposed to know about until the invasion was much further along. We were fed a pack of lies about how it was foolish for those people to send their children here, because they had somehow misunderstood Obama’s amnesty executive orders, when in reality the belief that they would be allowed to stay was absolutely correct. The illegal aliens were distributed across the United States with taxpayer-funded transportation by dark of night, exposed only when people began protesting the buses and planes bringing their new neighbors into their communities.

The health crisis in the detention centers was hidden from us – we only learned about it because whistleblowers approached the media. Likewise, only leaks from people inside the Border Patrol have alerted us to the presence of gang members in a migrant population routinely described as “children.” The Administration and congressional Democrats (plus some Republicans) have been deliberately misrepresenting what the William Wilberforce anti-trafficking law from 2008 says – it’s a measure to assist the abused victims of human trafficking operations, not a blanket offer of indefinite residency in the United States for every minor in Central America.
